Who Is Behind The Project?

Planetarium – Silesian
Science Park (PL)

The Silesian Planetarium was established in 1955 as the first facility of its kind in Poland. After a recent renovation, it is now one of the most modern institutions of its type in the world, presenting topics related to three fields of science: astronomy, meteorology and seismology.

Exhibition stations, unlike those found in similar venues, not only showcase various physical phenomena but also allow visitors to experience them firsthand. In its Science Park, you can experience a simulated earthquake, see and hear real lightning, witness the formation of clouds and precipitation, and even embark on a space journey in one of five ultra-modern space flight simulators. The main projection hall has been equipped with one of the most advanced sky visualization systems in the world. Its analog projector can display over 100 million stars on a 23-meter spherical screen.
